My name is Alexis Young (she/her). I am a Chinese-Filipino 2D designer and kidlit illustrator based in Canada. I am heavily inspired by colour and lighting situations observed in my daily life and travels. Through digital illustration, I aim to capture moments of discovery and tell coming-of-age stories all with a bit of magic and a whimsical nature.

My story interests include, but are not limited to:

• Adventure and the exploration of new worlds

• Environmental awareness and sustainability

• Friendship and animal companions

• Chinese/Filipino culture and folklore

• Retelling of heroes and mythology
